This is a link to the trailer of the movie Gallipoli. This is the closest thing that i could find that related to my book. My book is about Jim Martin, the soilder who lied to get into the army. It said on his papers that he was 18, which was confirmed by his mother, Amelia Martin. His real age is 14, if his mother didn't say he was 18 he would have run away.

This is my favourite poem that I heard from the introduction to a live concert for MUSE. It sounded really interesting and creepy so I guess thats why I liked it. The poem is by Tom Waits and its called "Whats he building in there?"

TASK 3
There was a glass on the fold-out table attached to the high side of the bed. Frances Reddock put her left arm around Jim's shoulders and, lifting him up, held the glas to his lips. He coughed and retched, but at least a little water trickled down his throat to quench his thirst. For the time being.
I chose this paragraph from the book Soldier Boy because it was a time where Jim Martin was very sick and i need of help. This paragraph was around the very start of the book. The book starts off as the end. Then starts all the way back when Jim started school. This paragraph and the other paragraphs in the first chapter are very good. It gets people into the book early which can help readers that don't read a lot.

TASK 5
In the book Soldier Boy, The part I am up to is that Jims battalion and other battalions are heading towards Gallipoli, when a German submarine rises and shoots a torpedo at their ship. I predict that their ship will be hit by the torpedo and will sink but most of the men will survive on the life boats. I know Jim wont die because he dies at the start of the book on a war ship due to sickness. They would also probably be on the life boats because a few pages before the submarine was mentioned, they were saying how they were going through drills with life vests and the boats. So thats what i think will happen next in the book.

TASK 6
My predition wasn't great because the only thing i got right was that the submarine hit the Southland and Jim survived. Jim was floating around in the water drifting away from the southland when people in a near life boat picked him up. Jims friend Cec Hogan was on the same life boat.

TASK 7
The frist book i read was Just Shocking and was an extremely weird book. The book i have pretty much finished is Soldier Boy. Just Shocking is a book with heaps of little stories that are extremely random and weird. Soldier Boy is about a 14 year old guy, Jim Martin, went to war at Gallipoli and got badly sick and died. These two stories have pretty much no relation at all.
